Adler's Focus on Conscious Motivation

Alfred Adler emphasized conscious rather than unconscious motivation in his psychological framework. Because he believed that individuals explicitly know and pursue the three fundamental social tasks—occupational, societal, and love tasks—he argued that conscious processes hold more importance, though he still acknowledged the existence of unconscious processes.
