Advantages of Projective Tests

A key advantage of projective tests is that they are less susceptible to intentional distortion by the respondent. Because the stimuli are ambiguous, it is difficult for a person to determine what a 'good' answer is, which makes it harder to 'fake good' or present a misleadingly positive self-image.
