Amphitrichous Flagella

Bacteria with amphitrichous flagella possess a single flagellum or tufts of flagella at each end of the cell. For example, Spirillum minor is an amphitrichously flagellated pathogen that causes spirillary (Asian) rat-bite fever (sodoku).
