Analysis of Production Techniques

A firm can produce 100 units of a good using one of three different techniques, with the following input requirements:

  • Technique A: 8 workers, 4 machines
  • Technique B: 10 workers, 4 machines
  • Technique C: 7 workers, 5 machines

Explain which technique is 'dominated' and why. Also, explain the economic circumstances under which a firm might choose between the remaining, non-dominated techniques.
