Analyzing Affordability with a Budget Constraint

An individual's budget for two goods, Coffee and Croissants, is represented graphically. The vertical axis measures the quantity of Coffees and the horizontal axis measures the quantity of Croissants. The budget boundary is a straight, downward-sloping line that connects the point representing a maximum of 10 Coffees (and 0 Croissants) to the point representing a maximum of 5 Croissants (and 0 Coffees).

Analyze the affordability of the following two consumption bundles and justify your reasoning for each by relating them to the budget boundary:

  • Bundle A: 3 Croissants and 4 Coffees
  • Bundle B: 2 Croissants and 8 Coffees
