Analyzing Preferences for Study-Leisure Plans

A student is deciding between two plans for their weekend. Plan A involves many hours of studying (less free time) and is expected to result in a high grade (a form of consumption). Plan B involves fewer hours of studying (more free time) but is expected to result in a lower grade. The student ultimately chooses Plan B. Using a standard consumption-leisure diagram, explain why this choice is rational. Your explanation must describe the relative positions of Plan A, Plan B, and the indifference curve that demonstrates this preference.
