Analyzing Production Methods

A small artisanal furniture workshop employs three craftspeople. Initially, each craftsperson built chairs from start to finish—selecting the wood, cutting the pieces, assembling the chair, and applying the finish. The owner decides to restructure the workflow: one person will now only select and cut wood for all chairs, a second will only assemble the chairs, and the third will only apply the finish to all chairs.

Analyze this new production method. Explain the three distinct economic reasons why this change is likely to increase the total number of chairs the workshop can produce each week.
