Analyzing the Transport Map Analogy

A public transport map is often used as an analogy to explain how economic models function. A transport map shows stations and the lines connecting them, but it deliberately leaves out details like specific street layouts, buildings, and exact geographical distances. Deconstruct this analogy. In your response, explain two distinct ways in which the map is a useful comparison for an economic model, and identify one significant way in which the analogy might be limited or potentially misleading.
