Anticipating Participant Questions

Anticipating participant questions is a strategy for standardizing experimental procedures. Researchers proactively try to predict what questions participants might have during the study and either answer them within the standardized instructions or develop pre-scripted standard answers to use if the questions are asked. This prevents unintended variation in how experimenters interact with different participants.
