Anxious Introvert
An anxious introvert is a type of introvert who has trouble interacting with others, sometimes bordering on social anxiety. Individuals such as this one are driven by their perception of being unable to function in large gatherings. In many cases, anxious introverts decline invitations to social events because being around other people will cause them to feel anxious, not because they favor their own company. The impact of their previous interactions tends to worry them about their future experiences, leading them to see themselves in a low-esteem light. Breaking these negative thought patterns can be achieved through cognitive behavioral therapy.
