Artisanal Production

Artisanal production is a mode of manufacturing where skilled craftspeople create goods from start to finish, often using hand tools and traditional techniques. In pre-capitalist economies, artisans typically owned their own workshops and tools, controlled their work processes, and sold their products directly in local markets. This method is characterized by a high degree of skill, low production volume, and a direct relationship between the producer and the consumer, contrasting with the mass production found in industrial systems.
