Distinguishing Economic Systems by Production Method

Imagine two historical economic systems. Both systems recognize private ownership of tools and land, and both have marketplaces where goods are bought and sold. However, in System A, most production is done by self-employed artisans and family farmers who own their means of production. In System B, the dominant method of production involves large organizations that own the means of production (factories, large farms) and hire individuals to work for a wage. Analyze the fundamental difference in the organization of production between these two systems and explain why System A, despite having private property and markets, is considered a distinct economic system from System B.
