Auditory Cortex
Located in the temporal lobe, the auditory cortex is the primary brain region for processing auditory information. It serves as the final destination in the main auditory pathway, receiving neural signals that have been relayed through the inferior colliculus and the medial geniculate nucleus of the thalamus.
