Automation as a Cause of US Income Inequality

A significant factor contributing to rising income inequality in the US is automation. The development of new technologies has led to the replacement of routine jobs, such as clerical work, displacing workers in those occupations. Consequently, these affected individuals have often transitioned into less secure, lower-paying jobs or have left the labor force.
