Bandwidth Versus Latency
A common misconception in computer networking is that increasing bandwidth will always reduce latency.
Bandwidth defines the volume of data that can travel across a link per second, whereas latency refers to the delay in transmission. Because bandwidth and latency measure different properties, a high-bandwidth connection that experiences slow response times will still feel laggy.
