Barriers to Accessing Health Services and Education
Women with disabilities in Nepal face many obstacles to getting an education and health services. Poor infrastructure and a lack of tools designed for their needs make it even harder for them. They often miss out on important information about sexual health, such as contraception. This leads to more unintended pregnancies and health problems. Many rely on others for their healthcare, which makes them vulnerable to abuse and discrimination. There is an urgent need for health education that includes women with disabilities and for resources that help them make informed choices about their health and wellbeing.
