Barriers to Fulfilling Potential
A prominent theory of motivation proposes a multi-level hierarchy of needs, where individuals must satisfy more basic needs before progressing to higher-level ones. The highest level, representing the fulfillment of one's full potential, is said to be achieved by only a very small percentage of people. Analyze why this highest level of fulfillment is so rarely attained, using the structure of the proposed hierarchy to explain the common barriers an individual might face.
