The instrument only contains seven items that are needed to fill out. This is beneficial to a chaotic hospital where Doctors are needed to move and assess patients quickly. Benefits of the FCV-19S in Healthcare 

With it being shorter, the instrument is not multidimensional and has the potential to provide a less comprehensive measure of the patient's symptoms. This has lead to other researchers neglecting the measuring tool.

Limitations of the FCV-19S in Healthcare

The researchers conducted further testing on the instrument and found that the tools psychometric properties were not as restricted as once thought and did accurately assess the intended purpose of psychological stress related to COVID.
