The Discount Rate is a setting that defines how quickly token production depreciates per amount of ETH. This incentivizes early investors as they will be given more tokens for their investments. The Discount Rate is setting that can be changed when a project is created.

The Bonding Curve defines how much ETH from a project's balance the token holders are given if they redeem their tokens from the overflow. The lower the Bonding Curve, the less someone can take from the overflow at any given time.

Benefits

Governance for Juicebox is an evolving process. Right now, it is aligned with the two week funding cycle. Every member of the community can create a proposal for all aspects of the business including payouts, protocol change, and multisig changes. After a proposal is created , there is two day discussion period in which changes to the proposals are allowed. After this, a Temperature Check is created. If a quorum is reached, there is another discussion period. Once this period is over, the proposal is sent to a final, on-chain vote on Snapshot. The amount of tokens a person has is used as their voting power. If the proposal passes, there is a 4 day period in which those on the multisig implement the proposal.
