Benjamin Lee Whorf

Benjamin Lee Whorf was a researcher who, working with Edward Sapir in the 1940s, explored whether the language we speak shapes our cognition. He co-proposed the idea that language determines thought, a perspective later challenged by other psychologists for its lack of empirical evidence.
