Edward Sapir

Edward Sapir was a researcher who, alongside Benjamin Lee Whorf in the 1940s, investigated how a community's language habits influence its members' interpretations. He contributed to the proposal that language dictates thought, though this absolute view was later criticized for lacking empirical backing.
