Best Responses in Repeated Games

In contrast to one-shot games, players in a repeated game determine their best response by not only considering the immediate payoff but also by factoring in past actions and the potential future consequences of their current choices. This means that a player's strategy must account for how their opponent behaved previously and how their own actions today might influence interactions tomorrow.
