Bewilderment and Sovereignty of the Heart in Attar's Mokhtar Nameh (Chapter 6, Poem 18)

In Chapter 6, Poem 18 of Attar's Mokhtar Nameh, the poet explores the transformative journey of the heart in divine love. Initially, the heart experiences utter ruin, distraction, and bewilderment (حیرانی) while remaining 'outside the veil' of divine mystery. However, upon transcending this state and passing 'within the veil' (درون پرده), the heart achieves a state of spiritual sovereignty and ultimate empowerment (سلطانی). This illustrates the mystical progression from the ego's confusion in the external realm to spiritual mastery in the realm of divine union.
