Blaming Victims of Sexual Assault

In the United States and other nations, a significant consequence of victim-blaming ideologies is the tendency to hold victims of sexual assault partially or wholly responsible for their abuse. This misattribution of blame has led to the formation of advocacy groups, such as Domestic Violence Ended (DOVE), which work to support victims and ensure accountability is placed on the perpetrators.
