Body Dysmorphia in Anorexia Nervosa

Individuals suffering from anorexia nervosa frequently experience a distorted body image, referred to in the literature as a form of body dysmorphia. This psychological symptom leads them to perceive themselves as overweight, even when they are maintaining a body weight well below average.
