Negative Health Outcomes of Anorexia Nervosa
Anorexia nervosa can lead to a variety of severe negative health consequences due to extreme weight loss and starvation. These physical health outcomes include bone loss, heart failure, kidney failure, amenorrhea (the cessation of the menstrual period), reduced function of the gonads, and, in extreme cases, death.
