Bounded Rationality

Bounded rationality is a theory of human decision-making that proposes that people's rationality is limited by the information they have, their cognitive limitations, and the finite amount of time they have to make a decision. Unlike models of perfect rationality, which assume individuals can optimize their choices, bounded rationality suggests that people often resort to 'satisficing'—choosing an option that is 'good enough' rather than the absolute best—due to these constraints.
