Interchange standards are methods for BPM that translate graphical standards to execution standards and that exchange business processes between BPMs; they serve to connect execution and graphical standards by focusing on controlling the flow of a business process, but often don't address other vital factors in the process such as business goals, human roles, other business process semantics, etc.

Interchange Standards 

This stage entails configuration of the BPMS and underflying system infrastructure (i.e., synchronization of roles and organization charts from the employee's accounts in the company's active directory)

In this stage, using appropriate analysis and monitoring tools, an analyst identifies bottlenecks and potential fraudulent loopholes in the business process- tools are embodied in diagnosis standards.
