The Parent & Child Links button is the rightmost icon in the 1Cademy node footer. Clicking this button displays a list of all “parent” and “children” nodes linked to the current node. Users can click on any of these listed titles to automatically open the corresponding parent or child node.

Features in the 1Cademy Node Footer

The far left icon in the node footer is the profile picture of the proposer of the node. Clicking on the profile picture will open the user’s profile.

The node type icon, located next to the proposer's picture in the 1Cademy node footer, indicates the format used to present the node's information. 1Cademy features six distinct node types, each represented by a unique icon.

When nodes are overlapping and you cannot read the content, use the adjust node height button to separate the nodes so they are stacked vertically with no overlap.

When the node narration button is clicked, the node content will be read out loud for the user. To end the narration, click the same icon again.

The version history button displays when the last edit was made. Clicking it opens a sidebar showing past versions of the node, each of which can be previewed.

The propose/edit a node button is displayed as a pencil icon and can be used to either create a child node or to edit the node selected. The number next to the pencil icon displays how many edits have been made to the node.

When the tags and citations button is clicked, the node will display any cited reference nodes and the tag(s) it is associated with.

If you notice any inaccurate information and/or a node is incorrectly located on the map, downvote it by clicking on the X icon.

***Note:*** Downvotes should only be used to vote for node removal. Please consider improving the node first if you can.

When you find a node or proposal on 1Cademy useful and accurate, you can upvote it by clicking on the checkmark icon in the footer. Upvoting a node denotes it as useful and helps prevent future changes if the node is already helpful and needs no further improvement.

When you feel comfortable with the content in a given node, mark it as “studied” by clicking on the envelope icon. This will turn the red border of a node to yellow.

To follow updates made on a node, you can bookmark it by clicking on the banner icon. When a node is bookmarked in this manner, 1Cademy will notify you when changes are made to the node.
