Causal Link Between Future Price Expectations and Demand Curve Shifts

In asset markets, the demand curve is influenced not just by the current price but also by expectations of future prices. When market participants anticipate that future prices will rise, current demand increases at every price level. This is graphically represented as an outward (rightward) shift of the entire demand curve.
