An insulin pump is a piece of hardware attached to the body that is programmed to deliver insulin, either continuously (basal) or in a surge (bolus), to control the rise in blood sugar after eating. The pump mimics to body's normal release of insulin.

An injector pen with a smartphone app to help manage insulin delivery. It tracks what the insulin does and calculates how much insulin is needed for the next dose. It also provides reminders, alerts, and reports about your glucose levels. 

Smart Insulin Pens

The pump will integrate glucose data from the CGM sensor, then suggest adjusting the insulin doses or adjusting the basal insulin on its own. This is triggered by high or low levels of blood glucose levels.
