The pump will integrate glucose data from the CGM sensor, then suggest adjusting the insulin doses or adjusting the basal insulin on its own. This is triggered by high or low levels of blood glucose levels.

An insulin pump is a piece of hardware attached to the body that is programmed to deliver insulin, either continuously (basal) or in a surge (bolus), to control the rise in blood sugar after eating. The pump mimics to body's normal release of insulin.

Treatments for Type 2 Diabetes

Oral pills
When taken, they help bring glucose levels near the normal range (lower or raises). 
there are types of pills that help:
- Sulfonylurea
- Meglitinide
- Metformin
- Glitazones

Sulfonylurea/ meglitinide lowers blood glucose levels. Metformin/glitazones help the body use the glucose properly
