Challenges in Isolating the Heritability of Intelligence

A significant challenge in studying the origins of intelligence is the difficulty of isolating the precise mechanisms of its heritability. Even when acknowledging a strong genetic component, it is often not possible to determine exactly how and when specific intellectual traits are passed from one generation to the next. This is due to the complex and continuous interplay between genetic predispositions and environmental factors.
