Choosing a Personality Assessment Tool
A clinical psychologist is choosing a personality assessment for a new client. They are considering two versions of a widely-used, true/false self-report inventory. The first version, updated in 1989, has 567 questions and is very well-established in the field. The second, a more recent version from 2008, has only 338 questions and takes about half the time to complete. Based on this information, evaluate the potential advantages and disadvantages the psychologist should consider when deciding which version of the test to administer.
