Clinical Scales of the MMPI-2

The responses from the MMPI-2 are scored to generate a clinical profile, which is constructed from 10 primary scales. These scales measure qualities such as hypochondriasis, depression, hysteria, psychopathic deviance, masculinity versus femininity, paranoia, psychasthenia (obsessive/compulsive traits), schizophrenia, hypomania, and social introversion. In addition to these, the profile includes a scale designed to identify risk factors for alcohol abuse.
