Choosing the Correct Scope After a Panel Visit

When a customer asks for panel work, the field visit should establish the real scope before a price is given. The technician should inspect the existing service size, review the added electrical load, and decide whether the job calls for a subpanel addition, a panel replacement, or a full service upgrade. Quoting the largest job without checking can waste the customer's money and damage trust, while quoting only a small panel change when the service is too small can leave the home underpowered and trigger a repeat visit. The diagnostic visit is the step that keeps the work plan and the customer's budget aligned.
