Cognitive Behavioral Analysis System of Psychotherapy's (CBASP) efficacy on Major Depressive Disorder in patients with childhood trauma

After 12 weeks of treating patients with major depressive disorder (MDD) and that had reported forms of childhood trauma (i.e., physical and/or sexual abuse, neglect, and the loss of a parent(s) at a young age) with cognitive behavioral analysis system of psychotherapy (CBASP), the effects of this therapy alone was more effective than nefazdone alone. Moreover, 43.8% of patients with MDD and reported childhood trauma achieved remission of depression with therapy alone after the study.
