Commercial Bank Business Model

The fundamental business model of a commercial bank is to generate profit from the difference between the returns it earns on its assets and the payments it makes on its liabilities. A bank's primary assets are loans, from which it receives interest payments, while its main liabilities are customer deposits, on which it pays interest.
