Women with disabilities in the workplace often found limited opportunities, limited support, negative attitudes and workplace climate, biased preformance evaluations, and lack of accomidations.

Examples of Sigmatization faced by women with disabilities in the workplace

- Second class citizenship: right to equal access is unreasonable or unjustified 
- Denial of personal identity: when someone overemphazises someones disability while activly disregarding other aspects of their identity.
- denial of disability experience: when someone minimizes another persons experience with a disability
- denial of privacy: when someone demands sensitive information or asks invasive personal questions regarding a disability.
- assumption of helplessness: when people assume that PWD need extra help and assistance.
- expectance of praise: when a person expects praise for doing something for a PWD
- infantalization: treating a PWD like a child or that they need to be taken care of
- desexualization: limiting and denying a persons sexuality or value as a romantic partner. 

Catagories of Microaggressions Faced by Women with disabilities

The most common stigmas and microaggressions women with disabilities face is that they are not able to be providers of help to others, to be asexual, and to be seen as incompetent. These stigmas typically lead to women concealing disabilities to avoid these stereotypes.

Women with disabilities identify with at least two identities that are typically stereotyped, which leads to a lack of acceptance and identitfication with either group, known as "intersectional invisibility". These identitites also often lead to experiences of microaggressions and other forms of descriminization.
