Short Answer

Comparing Bargaining Outcomes

Two independent pairs of colleagues, (Alex & Ben) and (Chloe & David), must each decide how to split a $100 bonus. The established norm in their shared workplace is an equal 50/50 split. Alex and Ben quickly agree to a $50/$50 split. Chloe and David, after some negotiation, agree to a $70/$30 split in Chloe's favor. Based on this information, analyze the most likely differences in the individual preferences of the people in each pair that led to these two distinct outcomes.
