Short Answer

Comparing Consumption Opportunity Sets

An individual's consumption possibilities are described by a straight-line boundary. Individual A's boundary connects the point (0, 100) on the 'consumption later' axis to (90, 0) on the 'consumption now' axis. Individual B's boundary also starts at (0, 100) on the 'consumption later' axis but connects to (95, 0) on the 'consumption now' axis. Which individual has a superior set of consumption opportunities, and why? Justify your answer by referencing the trade-off each individual faces.
