Comparing Methods for Strategy Analysis

A game theorist is analyzing a two-player, simultaneous-move game. They can determine a player's dominant strategy by either inspecting the numerical payoffs in the game's matrix or by plotting the game's four possible outcomes on a graph and observing which outcomes lie on the player's highest indifference curves. Compare and contrast these two methods. In your answer, discuss the advantages and disadvantages of each approach for identifying a player's optimal choices.
