Comparison of Julia's Utility at Point A vs. Point B

Julia would achieve a higher level of well-being if she possessed $100 in the present (point B) as opposed to having $100 in the future (point A). This is graphically represented in Figure 9.5 by the fact that the indifference curve associated with point B is located above the indifference curve that passes through point A, indicating a higher level of utility.
