Comprehensive Analysis of Economic Allocations

An allocation is considered 'Pareto efficient' if there is no other available allocation that would make at least one person better off without making anyone worse off. If such an alternative allocation exists, the original allocation is 'Pareto inefficient' and is said to be 'Pareto dominated' by the alternative.

Consider a scenario involving two individuals where four possible outcomes exist, with payoffs represented as (Individual 1's payoff, Individual 2's payoff):

  • Outcome A: (3, 3)
  • Outcome B: (2, 2)
  • Outcome C: (4, 1)
  • Outcome D: (1, 4)

Analyze these four outcomes. In your response, identify all Pareto efficient outcomes, all Pareto inefficient outcomes, and all pairs of outcomes that cannot be ranked relative to each other using this criterion. For each part of your analysis, provide a clear justification.
