Consumption Preferences at Endowment Extremes

Compare and contrast an individual's consumption preferences and level of impatience in two extreme scenarios: 1) having all their resources available in the present and none in the future, and 2) having all their resources promised in the future and none in the present. In your answer, describe the shape of the indifference curve at each point and explain the economic reasoning behind the individual's willingness to trade between present and future consumption in each case.
