Context Scaling via Dynamic External Knowledge

A method of context scaling that moves beyond static prompt augmentation is the dynamic incorporation of external knowledge, often implemented through Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG). This technique involves retrieving relevant information from external sources, such as databases, during inference and adding it to the model's context. By grounding the model in this timely or specialized information, this approach enables the generation of responses that are not only relevant but also factually accurate and up-to-date.
