The different forms of COVID-19 misinformation and their consequences

Believing in misinformation that falls into any of the four categories correlates positively with the individual’s willingness to partake in risk leisure activities, optimistic view of future, and a sense of the government crossing its boundaries with its actions during the pandemic.

Believing in conspiracies (partisan and nonpartisan) and health misinformation negatively correlated to the individual’s getting vaccination against Covid 19. 



Misinformation and Vaccination


Believing in partisan conspiracies is negatively correlated with the individual’s attitude about government’s actions and monitoring social distancing during the pandemic, while non-partisan conspiracies and health misinformation believers show no significant correlation.
