Cost-Effectiveness Data of Accommodations (Selection Concern #3)
Research demonstrates the cost-effectiveness of workplace accommodations. There is an estimated $40 in savings for every dollar spent on accommodations, with monetary benefits equaling or exceeding the expense two-thirds of the time. Furthermore, a Job Accommodation Network (JAN) survey found that providing accommodations led to successful employee retention (89%), increased productivity (72%), greater attendance (56%), and savings in insurance costs (38%).
