Structural Power in the Browneville Model

In the Browneville model, the structural power of the firm and the citizens is directly reflected in the graphical positions of the firm's shutdown condition and the citizens' leave-town condition. This relationship exists because each of these conditions is fundamentally determined by the respective party's next best alternative, or reservation option—for the firm, this is the profit from relocating, and for the citizens, it is the well-being they could achieve in another town.
