Deliberate-then-Generate (DTG) Method

The Deliberate-then-Generate (DTG) method is a technique that prompts a Large Language Model to first engage in thoughtful analysis before generating an output. In this process, the LLM is instructed to deliberate by first identifying error types in a given text and then producing a refined version. This approach encourages deeper analysis and aims for better results. A key characteristic of the DTG method is that both the error prediction (feedback) and the refinement steps are performed within a single run of the model, effectively integrating them into one process.
